ADMISSIONS POLICIES
The following priorities are used in determining admissions:
- Currently enrolled students (enrollment must be received by set deadline)
- Siblings of currently enrolled students
- Transfers from other Montessori schools
- Balancing of ages and gender in each classroom
- Date of application
If classes are full, prospective students will be put on a waiting list. Returning students will be given priority over new students on the returning list. The Director will make the final decision regarding student enrollment. Families may request a particular program, but the final placement will be made by the Director with faculty recommendations.
The M.I.S.D. Children's House admits and welcomes students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to students at the school. The M.I.S.D Children's House does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, or other school-administered programs.
